Impact evaluation of unconditional cash transfers in Kiryandongo refugee settlement, Uganda
In this project, GiveDirectly provides cash transfers to refugees and host community households in Kiryandongo in Western Uganda. Apata Insights supports the Impact evaluation led by IDinsight to understand welfare gains and social relations emanating from the cash transfer.
Willingness to Pay for a Covid-19 Vaccine in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ghana and South Africa
This project aims to understand the willingness to pay for COVID-19 vaccines in these seven countries. Apata Insights provides research design, research management and data collection services to the University of Bonn, Germany across all the seven countries.
Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Nutrition Technical Assistance & Policy Marker
The FCDO conducts an annual aid spending for nutrition, led by DAI Global Health and Development Initiatives. Apata Insights is supporting DAI and Development Initiatives in classifying, analysing and reporting aid spending for nutrition in 2020.
COVID-19 and electoral process civic participation in Uganda
Since January 2020, COVID-19 has affected virtually all dimensions of human life. In Uganda, the outbreak coincided with the 2021 general elections. It is not clear how it affected civic participations such as campaign attendance and even electoral turnout. This research seeks to understand this. The research is supported by a grant from the Evidence in Governance and Politics (EGAP) at the University of California, Berkeley.
Health Insurance and Labour Market Outcomes in Rwanda: University of Bonn Research Partnership
Health Insurance and Labour Market Outcomes in Rwanda. We lead analysis of large households surveys on understanding the effect of health insurance premiums policy changes on labour market outcomes and households economic (saving, investment and charity behaviour) in Rwanda.
Cornerstone Development Africa – Impact Evaluation
In existence since 1988, Cornerstone Development is one of the longest running Youth leadership development initiatives in Africa. Cornerstone has over the decades, sought to impact the lives of young people through its schools called Cornerstone Academies. Apata Insights is leading Cornerstone’s Impact Evaluation of Cornerstone Development Africa’s Almuni Association to assess the leadership impact Cornerstone Alumni are having in their communities.
Monitoring the Realising Livelihood Improvement through Savings & Education (REALISE +) Project: ECLT Foundation
The Elimination of Child Labour in Tobacco (ECLT) Foundation is working in three districts in Western Uganda to improve livelihoods through Savings and Education. Apata Insights led ECLTs monitoring activities to assess progress towards set goals as a result of interventions against Child Labour in Tobacco and other agricultural Commodities.
Survey for the Cyber Security Awareness Campaign in Uganda – TBWA\Uganda And NITA – Uganda
The National Information Technology Authority in Uganda has engaged TBWA – Uganda to develop and implement a Cyber Security Awareness Campaign in Uganda. With increased Internet use, this campaign aims to create awareness among the population to be safer while browsing or working over the internet. Apata Insights is providing research design, survey management and analysis services to run an online needs assessment survey for this campaign.
